I took time to listen to the entire CD this morning and its good. Nas put together a dope project. I'm surprised and very happy to hear it.

The HOPE acapella freestyle at the end is on point - showing love to all coasts. Just a plead ... "Stay hip hop stay. I pray. Live hip hop live."

Bravo!

I have not played this CD again. What is the replay value for other members here? I guess I'm hooked on the Wu-Tang feel. You know, more organic.

Hip hop is very alive.

I play it every morning at home or otherwise in my car.

I'll rate every song

Money over bullshit- 7/10- Don't really like the style in this song, but nice beat

Can't kill me- 9/10- Dope.

Carry on tradition- 9/10- Nas has a go at both old rappers and new ones.

Where are they now- 7/10- Not a bad song but i don't like the beat- feels too much like rock music

Hip Hop is dead- 10/10- Love this one. I'm sure you all heard it. Nas really comes out hard in this one

Who killed it- 3/10- Some people like this song cause of the story in it, i havent really taken the time to see what he is saying but the voice in this song is really annoying. the only song i skip.

Black Republican Ft Jay Z- 10/10- This one is amazing in the car, awesome beat, great Verse by Jay Z, then an even better one by NAs. Really addictive. wanna listen over and over

Not going back- 10/10- another dope song

Still Dreaming ft Kayne west- 9/10

Hold hown the block- 8/10

Blunt Ashes- 9/10

Let there be light- 9/10 didn't like this at first but really do now. Grew on me

Play on Playa ft Snoop dogg- 9/10- This one doesn't really have a message but i really like it. The beat while being snoop doggish still fits nas and Snoop dogg does a good verse as well.

Can't forget about you- 10/10- Loooooooove this song

Hustlers ft the game- 10/10- Great beat, great verses.

Hope - 8/10.

Overall 9/10.

Another classic by Nas.

I still play this album. I think its underappreciated- Eg God's son from Nas gets a lot of love but Imo this is just as good possibly better. God's son has more standouts I'd say but I go through this whole 15 song album skipping only 2 songs (and i consider one of them a skit pretty much- "who killed it")
