Virgin Records, Sparkxxx and Dupri actions are consistent with the music industry. By any means necessary regarding content is the new rule of the industry. Content is never an issue when a dollar is concerned. Lyricist continue to be replaced by the lyrically challenged.
The Ms. New Booty is not down as reported by AllHipHop, an executive order entry box was recently added. How many under the age of 18 do you honestly think will check no. Has Bubba, Jermaine or Virgin Records checked the ages of the bare asses? If not maybe a 13 or 14 year booty just might be the winning entry.
When I first wrote on the topic of "Radio America's Child Predator's" by no means was I directing my plea to any artist. Yes, Virgin and Sparkxxx have displayed a lack of creativity and lyrical content. What is more disturbing is the song's link to radio and video.
Radio,MTV and BET need to be held accountable. Tupac and Big are looking down wondering when someone is going to stand for something. I heard BET put up a good fight but just recently bent over too. If there was no commercial outlet playing it,there would be no controversy.
Jermaine's reference to a "fun" song says it all. Fun and teens are synonymous and msnewbooty.com website is not. Maybe the website link should go to Radio Disney instead of "Girls Gone Wild".

Dear AllHipHop.com
The issue is not Bubba Sparkxx, the artist. We believe in Free Speech but
not at the expense of children. I am Hip Hop, but audio porn doesn't get me
excited nor do I think adult themes should be pushed on those too young to
determine reality from fiction. When are we in the Hip Hop generation going
to stop just thinking about "I and Me"?
The concern here is kids being directed to the Virgin promoted "Ms New Booty
/Girls Gone Wild" Web site by on-air Djs across the country. We know some of
these girls are underage, when one girl put up her MYSPACE Web account.
There are fifty 17-24 year old students this semester monitoring radio
stations. They used their interpretation of "indecency" to determine what
was appropriate for radio stations who receive double digit rating shares
for the 12-17 year old demographic The complaints started when they noticed
that the radio Djs started promoting the "Ms. New Booty" Web site at 6pm
just in time for the most listened to hours by young kids. One local
Washington DC Dj introduced the site by talking about masturbating
techniques.
Hip Hop is 30 years old and its time to reflect on our beginnings when we
really did talk more about our oppressor, communities and what we were going
to do to improve our way of life. There is some serious stuff happening in
our communities that we can not ignore. If folks are down with the Bubba
Sparkxx promotion or adult themed Hip Hop, cool, but keep that sh** away
from the kids. We advocate after 10pm like the law says.
DAYUM, does anybody care about the impact this is having on our kids or is
it always about what YOU (the adult) want?
Take a sacrifice.
Peace,
Lisa FAGER
