Detroit rapper Trick Trick was shot early morning on the 15th. Jim Jones was in town. Detroit is known for rolling own rap posse's. Trick Trick had recently launched a general statement saying M.C's had to get permission to perform in Detroit. Jim being a money go getter and not a back down sort came to do his performance regardless. It is reported that he was rushed by some goons, was able to fight them off with his men and then two Detroit cats got shot. One being Trick Trick....

I was scrolling through allhiphop.com and I saw where one of their editors made a list of their all time top five personal favorite M.C's. It was a good list and his reasons for stating them were good as well. Check it out if you get the chance. The site isn't bad. It's strickly for the entertainment side of hip-hop, and has a jack of all trades feel to it. Actually I think I would rate it over SOHH if they had a Billboards report.

Hip-hop is experiencing a lot of turmoil right now. A lot video beef's, chain snatching, club fighting, and so forth. Judging from the current atmosphere it seems like another hip-hop murder will be coming soon to a headline near you. It doesn't help that people know killing a rapper won't bring out the best of Law and Order.

Saw the Biggie movie last night. Any thoughts on how true it was to his real life. They seemed to attempt to distance themselves as much as possible from the Quad studio shooting. Don't know about that one. All in all I thought it was a good story.
